The U.S. and 33 other countries throughout the Americas are negotiating a Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). The U.S. is also negotiating the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) with Central American countries. The stated purpose of the FTAA and the CAFTA is to promote trade and investment between countries. But when it comes to tobacco, more trade = less health!
